This 3D-NativeCAD Converter application converts native models saved by most of the commonly used CAD systems into neutral CAD exchange formats such as STEP, or IGES. The 3D-Tool Viewer on the otherhand saves the 3D models into different 3D visualization formats (Polygon based).

CATIA Converter / Viewer

The Converter and the Viewer support 3D models from CATIA V4, V5 and V6 in the file formats MODEL, CATPART, CATPRODUCT. 3DXML, CGR and CATDRAWING formats are supported by the Viewer.

Siemens NX Converter / Viewer

The Converter and the Viewer support 3D models from UG NX and Siemens NX in PRT format.

CREO Converter / Viewer

The Converter and the Viewer support 3D models from Pro/Engineer and CREO in PRT and ASM formats. Note, that Creo Family Table instances are supported when XPR and XAS accelerator files are available.

SolidWorks Converter / Viewer

The Converter and the Viewer support 3D models from SolidWorks in SLDPRT and SLDASM formats. 2D drawing files in SLDDRW format are supported by the Viewer.

SolidEdge Converter / Viewer

The Converter and the Viewer support 3D models in the 3D exchange formats STEP, IGES, VDA, SAT and PARASOLID.

The 3D-Tool converter creates 3D models in the 3D exchange formats *.stp, *.igs, *.vda, *.sat, *.sab, *.x_t, *.x_b und im CATIA V5 Format als *.CATProduct und *.CATPart.

Output of the Converter

The converter generates 3D models in the 3D exchange formats STP, IGS, VDA, SAT, SAB, X_T and in CATIA V5 format as CATPRODUCT and CATPART.

An automatic HEALING function guarantees the very high quality of the output data. Poor quality data can even be improved by converting it.
If the model contains assembly information, assemblies and parts can be specifically selected during conversion.
The converter is an interface between different CAD systems and software that works with exact CAD data (vectors, edges, bounded surfaces). Used for example, in measuring machines or CAM software.

The 3D tool viewer creates 3D models in the visualization formats *.stl, *.obj, *.ply, *.3ds, *.wrl, *.u3d

Output of the Viewer

The viewer generates 3D models in STL, OBJ, PLY, 3DS, WRL and U3D visualization formats. The publication as 3D PDF file for Adobe Reader is also supported. The 3D-Tool Viewer thus serves as:
